We’ve had a wonderful, busy June! We celebrated Scott’s high school graduation with family and friends, I closed out my classroom for the summer and we spent a fun week in Disney World Florida. In between all the chaos we managed to fit in a couple of weekend getaways to our favorite local campground, Camp Creek.
Now back to camping! Lindsey and Corey decided they wanted to spend some time camping with us this summer. We dug through our garage and found all the tent camping gear we’d used with the kids many, many years ago. They’re happy to have it and we’re glad they want to join us on some weekend trips this summer!
Our first trip to Camp Creek proved lucky! The camp was virtually empty and we were able to grab site 8, the most popular site in the campground. It’s a huge site, very private and is situated directly on the creek.
We spent a nice day on the mountain with a couple of quick hikes to Zig Zag Falls and a walk around Little Crater Lake. It was fun sharing with the kids the places we like to explore.
All in all it was a fun couple of days…a lot of relaxing…a little exploring and good time spent together as a family! You really can’t ask for more!
Looking forward to the start of an adventure filled summer!
Kim, your blogs are always a treat for me. I love your photos and tales of your adventures. The only negative is that there are so few photos of you!!!

Thanks so much for sharing your pics and experiences, what a beautiful country ( and family ) Do you sell any of your wonderful pics? If so, would be interested to use some of your Airstream pics in some advertising here in New Zealand. Let me know. Thanks. Vern

I’m planning our first road trip to Oregon and I thought I was excited before! Your photos of your trip to Camp Creek are amazing! you’ve captured the forest so well. I’m literally sitting here with tears in my eyes looking through your posts. I’m in so much need of this type of surrounding. Thank you for shedding light on a place I already thought was beautiful. You’ve magnified it 10 fold!
Cheers!
Kyla
