A long, long time ago, (so long ago in fact that WordPress changed the format and I had to relearn how to make a post, ) I was good about keeping our travel log up to date. My husband has shamed me into catching up, so here is my attempt to dust the cobwebs from my memories and share a few of the pretty places we visited last year.
In my defense, it’s hard to spend my time in front of the computer when I have a sweet grand baby to spend my free time playing with.
So, I will begin my blog update with a hike up to one of the most spectacular falls in Oregon – Ramona Falls on Mt. Hood. We have done this hike before on a beautiful sunny afternoon, perfect for hiking but not so perfect for shooting waterfall, photos. This weekend looked to be sufficiently cloud covered, so off we went in search of great water photos. I was excited to use my new Nikon D7100 and test it out, and from what I could tell, I wasn’t disappointed. We had lots of opportunities for good pictures except for the fact that my battery was almost dead and I had left the spare in the car. I took photos along the way very sparingly and had just enough juice to snap two photos once we reached our destination. This is a fairly easy hike and if you’re ever in the area, it’s a place you really should see!
