We LOVE it here. So much in fact, that we canceled reservations for another campground we had reservations at later in the week and decided to spend our remaining four days camped here (site 5). Totally private, gorgeous views and access to the lake, couldn’t ask for more. A week of sleeping in, big breakfasts, good books, family games and no schedules…perfect!
Another nice thing about Blue Bay Campground is that it is practically deserted during the week…like I said…perfect!
The days were mild and the nights were cool. Enough so that we needed a fire every morning for breakfast (nice), and we started the fire again each night before 5 pm (nice)! Made for good sleeping!

These little rascals were everywhere…no food was safe, even for a minute, much to poor Cooper’s despair!
Looking forward to a return visit next summer!
Is that to the east of Santiam Pass? I think I’ve stopped there briefly but never camped there. It looks very pleasant. You have a lot of smiles in your photos!

If camping’s your thing, it’s a great campground in a pretty part of the state!

I’ll take that as a big compliment, Frank! Tried to leave you a comment on your blog too, but I couldn’t see that it went through…just wanted to tell you loved the new blog header! Sounds like you guys had lots of fun at the rally! Would sure be fun to meet all of my virtual friends in person 🙂

It is nice that you were able to spend time with both kids away from it all before the school year begins. I hope my kids will enjoy the Airstream for many years to come. The scenery and photography are amazing as usual. I love the aqua blue lake. Also, I love that your son can entertain around the campfire. My little Ethan is a budding guitarist and I may let him bring his guitar to Michigan next weekend. I just love seeing what my virtual Airstream friends are up to around the country. My little ones are back in school but I am looking forward to Labor Day in Petoskey, Michigan. Don’t worry, I will blog all about it. Cheers.

Doug, looking forward to your Labor Day photos! I start school tomorrow but kids don’t start until the 5th allowing one more short trip before we’re back into the thick of it!
My son just started playing the guitar this summer and he only knows five songs so far…but they sounded great and it was fun to hear him play! I bet you’ll enjoy hearing your little guy play…music just sounds better when you’re gathered together around the fire!
Have a wonderful time, and you know I’ll be checking for photos!

Love it! Looks like so much fun. You’ve got such nice-looking kids. Do they tent camp or can the Bambi sleep everyone? Glad you had a nice getaway before everything cranks back up.

I have been browsing on-line more than three hours as of late,
yet I never discovered any attention-grabbing article like yours.
It’s pretty value enough for me. In my opinion, if all website owners and bloggers made just right content material as you probably did, the web might be a lot more useful than ever before.
