What a treat! On our way back from our day hike to Jawbone Flats, we noticed a fork in the road leading to a small park area called Three Pools. We were tired but I had a little juice left in my camera battery so we decided to give it a look! So glad we did!!! This really ended up being the highlight of our trip!
Apparently Three Pools is a very popular swimming destination which we found out later this summer when we visited on a hot day. But, on this day we were the only people there. Literally, just steps down from the parking lot, this is what you see!!!

Wow! Again, this is not Photoshopped…the color looks like something you’d find in a pool at Yellowstone!

Pretty hike that leads you to more pools and waterfalls. Picnic Tables all along here with pretty views!
We couldn’t wait to bring my parents back here when they visited in July. An easy walk with unreal beauty. Sadly, school was out then and the place was filled with beer cans and blaring music and lots and lots of high school/college kids. Our nineteen year old son thought it looked like great fun – us, we’ll revisit next spring when the kids are still in school and the rain is still falling!
Your pictures are always just beautiful and I always enjoy your posts. You make me want to buy an Airstream!

Thanks, Tim 🙂 We love our Airstream, but really just love the fact that we can get out and stay in beautiful places…Airstream or not!
