I’m moving ahead out of order here, as I want to finish up a few last memories with our Bambi. It’s nice to have my photos in one place that we can go back to and enjoy.

The last couple of days of our trip through the Rocky Mountains took us to Maligne Lake…beautiful! The weather didn’t cooperate, but we had a bit of a break on the boat ride out to Spirit Island. If we had longer to spend in the area and the weather was a bit better I would have loved to take the photography tour. A reason to return….

Glad we saw it when we did…the return ride back was blustery and the mountains were totally obscured by cloud cover.

A snapshot of the boat dock on Spirit Island. You get about 10 minutes to walk around and take photos…

We didn’t have nearly enough time in Jasper! It really exceeded our expectations.

On our way back to the states, we found a couple of other beautiful spots in Yoho National Park. Olive Lake was maybe the most scenic lake I’ve ever scene. So much is written about Lake Louise, and yes it’s beautiful, but it’s CROWDED…The water at Olive Lake has to be seen to be believed. Even on a cloudy, rainy day the color was magnificent!

So fortunate to have stumbled across this place. Of course I took the photo as the tour bus was letting out and when we were on the way out, my battery died.

Our campground in Yoho. Our first campfire in Canada. You pay for a fire permit and they direct you to a HUGE wood pile…take as much as you need.

What wonderful memories we took away from this trip. It was great fun pulling the Bambi behind us and it really enhanced the adventure!!
