My favorite part of Oregon!!! Allingham has some beautiful sites, but they’re first come first serve and they’re hard to get! We found a spot while driving through, and headed back to Blue Bay to pack up a day early! Wow…we were packed, hitched and setting back up within the hour!
Our spot was wonderful! We were steps from the Metolius River! A picture heavy post….the photos can tell the story of why we like it here better than I can!

This place is magical!

The view of the river from our site.

A fisherman’s paradise!

Sweet Peas

The no burn ban came down while we were here so I was glad to have the solar lights at night.

What we do….

An awesome hike to Wizard Falls.

Love hiking through the ponderosa pines…

Even our big Airstream looks dwarfed in the trees. The Bambi always looked like a toy here.

Saw these along the walk one night…

The mighty ponderosa

The historic Camp Sherman Store

What a view!

Nature’s air conditioning

Smoke coming back in….

Enjoying our last night…

Love this life!

Your posts are a reminder that I need to find the time to haul the Airstream to Oregon. There is a big gap on my Airstream travel map and the Pacific Northwest is the most glaring omission. I had better start planning soon as our travel calendar is filling up. Posts like this will prompt me to bump up Oregon on the list. Great photography as always. I hope you have a great school year Kim.

Doug, the one thing about taking our Airstreams across the country is that it takes so long to get there! I’d love to take a trip back east someday as well but most of the time would be spent driving! Ah, the retired life….someday!
If you and your family do make it out our way, with or without Airstream in tow, we’d love to meet you!

Thank you 🙂 The new page template I’m using allows for larger photos thus, less compression and sharper images. That makes me happy!

Kim,
What a wonderful surprise… your blog has all grown up!
Good choice in selecting WordPress’s Apostrophe Theme, which gives justice and a larger size to your gorgeous photos!
Love your love of life and positive energy as evidenced in your beautiful blog! Yes!

Thank you, Bill! Sure appreciate the nice comment! I spent the better part of two days trying to redo this and finding out just how little I know about designing web pages. I tried several premium options that I really liked, but most were portfolio based and more complicated so ended up with Apostrophe which was free. The newer templates support much larger photos than when I started out many years ago.
