One week after our Mother’s Day weekend, we returned to the same spot. We were being efficient during the winter months and booked this site two weeks in a row because…well…it was available. This campground is pretty much full all summer and we decided to take the sites while we could. Our plan was to cancel one of the weekends – but decided at the last minute to just go…rain or shine. One of the benefits of keeping the Airstream packed and ready on our driveway. The weather was stormy, but that’s exactly the reason we traded the Bambi in for the larger model.

It was a quiet weekend. We took walks in between showers and I walked around with my phone and looked for colorful things to take photos of. I find myself using my iPhone more and more these days! There’s something freeing about not lugging cameras around!

Just a snapshot of a quiet weekend –

This is a great, private site! Totally worth it to book months in advance!

Still cold this time of year – you can see the campfires in the campground from the top of the dunes.
