A rainy and unseasonably cold summer day today – a perfect day to sort through photos from last year that I never got around to blogging. My site is now completely out of order, which drives me a bit crazy, but it’s really nice to have a place to store these memories. It’s amazing how much kids change in a year. Jack just turned one in these photos – he’s still just a baby here. He’s two now and can totally keep up with his big sister. His babyhood seemed to go by in the blink of an eye.

This is Memorial Day weekend 2018. We snagged a last minute campsite at Stub Stewart and the kids joined us for the day for a bike ride and lunch at a favorite little greek cafe in Vernonia. Molly talked her parents into letting her stay the night with us which of course we really enjoyed.

We rode our bikes around the small lake in Vernonia. There’s is an abandoned mill along the way that we’d biked by many times, but never stopped to peek inside. It was quite incredible and very clean. It was fun to walk around and look at the graffiti.

A fun couple of days and a lot of happy memories.
